Understanding The Trump & Putin Firehosing Propaganda Strategy

Trump and Putin have utilized a very similar propaganda strategy: feed the media and the public constant lies as a way to control the narrative.

This strategy is called fire hosing and Vox does a phenomenal job of breaking it down in the video embedded below.

The Principles of Firehosing:

  1. High volume
  2. Rapid, continuous, and repetitive
  3. No commitment to objective reality
  4. No commitment to consistency
